Limited Supply

So many people have been interested in my rope pails as party favors, so I decided to find another bucket that would be a little cheaper. I have found these bright, glitter pails that come with shovel. I am selling them individually for $6.00, but I will give a quanitity discount of $4.00 each for orders of 10 or more. The supply of these is limited!! I have several people deciding on numbers and designs, and I am afraid I will run out soon. I also have a few ready to go to the Peach Festival, so be sure to get your order in. Don't forget to become a blog follower to be entered to win the $20 credit to my etsy shop, drawing to be held June 30th.
While getting ready for the Peach Festival, I have come across some things that I forgot I had. I have found several wagons, chairs, pencil boxes, clip boards, . . . I will be listing some of these finds next week with some new designs!! Be sure to check back. Have a great weekend; see you at the Peach Festival.

Great News!!

I got some wonderful news this afternoon--wonderful to me anyway. Someone gave up their INDOOR booth at the Peach Festival, and WE GOT IT!! Bows by Macy & Me and Crayon Princess will be inside at the Peach Festival. It is fabulous news to the two of us who were worrying about spending two days outside peddling bows and buckets in 100 degree weather. I have spent the last several days painting, painting, and painting. I want to have items ready to go. You pick it out; I quickly add your name, and you are on to the next booth. Hope to see you all there. The hours are Saturday, 9-5 and Sunday, 12-5. We will have some items on sale and special prices for the festival. Hope you like the new pirate.

Happy Father's Day

The girls each painted Jason a canvas for Father's Day. Mattie Claire prides herself on being a true artist and put a lot of time and thought into her work. I am not sure what to say about Molly's. I guess her work speaks for itself!! Happy Father's Day, Jason

We made the drive to Jena today to visit "Old Papaw Beaubouef." Everytime we visit with him, I am amazed. He has been through so much and is still a blessing to so many. I thought I would share the picture of the four generations--Hardy, Sr. (Old Papaw), Hardy, Jr., Jason, & our girls--Mattie Claire & Molly.

Camp Warming Gift

The whole family has enjoyed spending time at the camp. As a "camp-warming" gift for them, the girls and I made a duck platter. The ducks' bodies are made from the girls feet. I painted the other stuff and had the platter fired in Pineville. Don't forget you can earn a free plate by hosting a party for five of your friends to purchase plates. They would make great Christmas gifts, and you can beat the rush by scheduling now.

After receiving my order the maker of the outfit decided to visit my store. She has been so sweet and helpful. She ordered two lap trays. Here is a quick pic of the lap tray for her son.

I wanted to let you all know about my lucky follower. Karla M. began following my blog and was the last to comment for the free tote. She also began following sheltongail.blogspot.com and entered to win the Eiffel Tower painting, which she won. Way to go Karla--two giveaways in one week!!!

There is a paint a canvas class tomorrow at the Pea Patch. The morning class filled up, so I opened an afternoon class. There are a few slots left in the 1:00 class. Let me know if you would like to sign up or call the Pea Patch at 628-3560. Kids may create their own drawing and painting, or I can draw something for them to paint. Last year's paintings were BEAUTIFUL!!

Party Favors

We attended a "tutu cute" tea party today. We used a tote as our gift bag. It was personalized with an initial and zebra print. I filled the tote with some personalized zebra flip flops and stuffed with zebra tissue paper that I found at Hobby Lobby. The cost wasn't anymore than a gift bag, but a whole lot cuter and something she can use again. They are a great way to store all of our hairbows that end up covering the bathroom counter.

There has been a lot of interest in the party favors on etsy. I can create totes to match your invitations or theme. Each tote can also be personalized. I have recently had orders for the totes to be used as beach goodie bags. Above are a few samples I have done over the weekend. Hope everyone has a great week.

Congratulations

Wanted to add one more note. Someone added me as a favorite on etsy today. I did a little follow up and visited her blog. She has the cutest Disney scrapbooks that you take to the parks with you for the characters to sign. I know I have lots of friends that are big Disney fans, so I thought you would all love to see these books:

Congratulations to my newest follower and last winner of the fish tote, Karla!! Just post me a comment on how to spell the girls' names, and I will add to their totes and send to you. I will do them both a tote to be fair! Thank you so much for following my blog.

Don't forget to check out sheltongail.blogspot.com. The end of the giveaway is Saturday. Don't miss your chance to be entered to win the free watercolor!!

Etsy Store

My etsy store is doing great. I have had several sales in my first week. I have gotten some custom orders. The beach totes seem to be my biggest seller. I have a few left if anyone would like to order one. You can buy from the etsy store, and I can deliver locally. Remember that I can also fill the buckets and totes with summer essentials and wrap in cellophane for a gift ready to go. Stop by my shop on etsy at http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=7412708.

Fishing Derby

Friday night, my husband and daughter were in the kitchen creating a secret recipe. I thought I might share that recipe with you.
1. cheap pack of red hot dogs cut into small
pieces
2. clove of garlic
3. two packs of strawberry koolaid and some water
4. mix all together in mason jar and let sit all night

This was their special concoction for Saturday's fishing derby, and it worked!! Mattie Claire won for the biggest fish in her age group. Molly only went for the doughnuts--she gets that from her daddy:-).

Birthday Gift

My order of girly colored rope pails finally came in, and I started painting right away. I filled an order for a bucket with a mermaid. The mermaid is personalized with red hair, and the name is added to the side.

The bucket is filled with summer time goodies: play dough, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, candy, goggles, and a bikini Barbie. The bucket is wrapped in cellophane with a polka dot bow and matching lime green sand shovel. I will be happy to create a custom gift for you. Just give me a call with your order and price range, and we will deliver the bucket to you ready for the party.

Trash Can

As I have said, mermaids have taken over! I have painted a mermaid on anything within my reach for the past week. I painted this trash can for the girls' bathroom, and I loved it so much I have plans to do more. I drilled holes in the sides and attached turquoise striped bows. I attached the bows using pipe cleaners, so they can be replaced if they get a little dirty. These trash cans will be $12. I have listed one in my etsy shop, and I have more painted. They aren't all mermaids. I have painted a ballerina, monogram, and horse. Be sure to look for them at the Peach Festival at the end of this month! Bows by Macy & Me and the Crayon Princess will be there with bows and buckets; hope to see you there.

First Etsy Sale

I had my first sale on etsy today! I couldn't be prouder. I felt sure it was a friend just trying to be supportive, but this bucket is going all the way to Massachusetts. Does that make me a true artist when my stuff sells out of state?? There is still one tote to give away, so be sure to leave a comment for yesterday's post.

Check out this Blog!

I have ordered the baby some clips a few times on etsy--yes, my favorite site. I have ordered twice from the same shop, and I LOVED what I received both times. She is offering a $25 gift certificate giveaway right now if you visit her blog and leave a comment. I am adding the link below. Good luck, I hope someone I know wins!!

First Blog Giveaway
