Little Camper

I created a little camper tote to send some goodies to Kate at camp. I thought she turned out pretty cute, roasting her marshmallow. I filled the tote with some glow necklaces, bracelets, rings, lip gloss, and stickers. Nope, they can't have candy. Hope she likes it!

More Birthdays

With VBS and painting, I have not had any time to catch up on the blog. I just finished up a big order that will mail out tomorrow. I have a couple more birthdays to start on, and we are getting ready for Miranda Lambert. Here are a couple of pics of the party totes I just finished.

I am wrapping up my last Kelly's Kids party. Let me know if you haven't gotten your order in, and I can add it to this party. We had a great turnout last night. Also, don't forget about shoe orders. I will email the Puddle Jumper order in this weekend, so we can hopefully have them by school.

Birthdays!

I think everyone must have had their children in August, except for me. There are so many birthdays. I am staying up until about 2:00 every night painting birthday party favor totes. I love the business, but I am concerned about back to school. I hope I can keep up. I thought I would post a few that I have done today. One lady got each child a different tote. I designed a tote for someone have a "Little Gym" party; I thought the little gymnast turned out pretty cute.
Brittany is having a back to school bow and belt party this Saturday. She has some of the cutest stuff and is offering specials just for that day. Some of my favorites are the reversible belts, monogrammed bows, and bows with rhinestone paws and megaphones. Chesney's Kelly's Kids party is also Saturday, so it will be a busy day. Give me a call if you need details on either party--directions, times, . . .

I'm in LOVE

I LOVE my new Cricut. Kate's heading off to camp, and I think she is doing it in personalized style. I decorated a couple of her things using adhesive vinyl. I think this stuff turned out so cute. I am sure there will be more to come! I have already said my whole family will get something personalized for Christmas.

Kids at school have to use clear or mesh backpacks. We did the monogrammed mesh last year, but this year I wanted to try something new. I bought a clear backpack and added her name in vinyl. Turned out pretty cute. I am sure pictures will follow soon.
I would also like to give a little shout out to the JP all-stars; they are still winning in Hammond. Wouldn't it be great to have a local team win state! Good luck, guys!!

SALE SALE SALE

To make room for all of those market purchases, Monday's Child (located inside the Pea Patch) is having a sale starting tomorrow.

The entire booth will be 25% off, except for Lego and Corolle.

I thought I would pass this along, because it sounds like a great time to stock up for Christmas!

Summer Classes

The summer art classes went great. I taught at the Pea Patch and at Shanna's studio in Olla. I am busy now getting everything glazed and fired before back to school. Mattie Claire went to some of the classes as my "assistant," but she usually ended up creating instead of helping. One of the classes was a paint your own cookies for santa plate and mug; she already had one, so she did a snacks for Rudolph plate.
If you missed out on this class, there will be a Mommy & Me paint your own plate and mug in the fall. Moms can spend a couple of hours on a Saturday helping their child create a keepsake!
My dates are starting to fill up, so I want to post a couple of reminders. I can do paint your own pottery birthday parties; the price varies depending on what you choose for the kids to paint. If you are interested in a footprint plate for Christmas, this is a GREAT time to go ahead and get that done. I get pretty busy in December, so I am trying to start earlier this year. Remember all you need is five friends with a plate order to qualify as a party and receive a free plate!

We're Back!

I am a terrible mother with no pictures to post; I never took the camera out of the car. Poor Mattie Claire only made it down to the beach once. She did plenty of swimming, sliding, and lazy river floating, so don't feel too sorry for her. I was just exhausted; I was mother to three this week. Jason did not do well, and we ended up in the ER about halfway through the trip. There was a pretty bad infection in both legs; I haven't seen the totals yet, but I am sure this will end up being a pretty expensive trip to the beach. Enough whining--we really did have fun, and the girls were so good and sweet!! We have been tossing around the idea for a pool, but that idea is on hold. Molly is afraid of NOTHING!! She jumps straight into the water, hoping someone will be there to catch her. I do a little shiver as a think of what she will be like as she gets older--the teenage years.

I think everyone is HAPPY to be home, and we are getting packed up to head out to a paint your own pottery birthday party. This will be my first, so I will post some pictures.

Don't forget to get your shoe orders to me for the blog special price. I will be placing the order at the end of this month.

Geaux Tigers

I LOVE this cheerleader, so I thought I would give an LSU bucket a try. I think she turned out so cute. If you love her as much as I do, you can order her in my etsy shop. I also have one at the Pea Patch. Show your true tiger pride at the beach and don't forget I can personalize!

Ornaments??

I am on the fence about painting ornaments for this Christmas. I am considering simply focusing on the ceramic ornaments. I am listing a few leftovers on etsy now to free up some room in my crowded studio/loft. I only have 1-2 of each kind I list left, and I am listing at half the usual price.
Next, doesn't anyone want to win a free bucket??? I know you are reading the blog, because we talk about it all the time. Let me know what you think of the new additions to my etsy shop for a chance to win a free, personalized rope pail!!

New Banner

I invested in some cosmetic surgery for my etsy shop. Take a look around my shop and let me know what you think in a comment. To celebrate my upcoming vacation to the beach, I will enter all commenters for a chance to win a free rope pail. You pick the design, and I will paint and personalize. Just visit crayonprincess.etsy.com and come back to let me know what you think of my changes.

Don't forget to get your shoe orders in; I will order the end of this month!

It's Here!!

The fall kit for Kelly's Kids just arrived. I can't wait to dig in. Let me know if you want to earn free clothes by hosting a party or would like to place an order. Can you believe they have monogrammed clogs this season?? We will be going back to school in style with our monogrammed jacket and clogs!! If you can't wait to see the clothes in person at a party, give me a call for a private/pre-show.
Don't forget that Bows by Macy and Me will be making bows to match all the new Kelly's Kids clothes!! She would love to customize one for the perfect outfit.

Back to School

This is an offer for my local customers. Last year, I offered Puddle Jumpers at a great price at the Pea Patch and was able to place small order to the company. They have changed their policy, and I now have to place orders in size runs--five consecutive sizes in one color. I said all of this to say that I will only be placing one order for back to school, then maybe one order in the winter. I will be ordering red with white polka dots and navy with white polka dots. The slip ons will be $32 (this is a blog reader discount). I may possibly order boots if enough people are interested; they were so cute in the winter with her school pants and matching belt. I will place the order at the end of July, so please give me a call if you would like a pair for back to school. Don't forget to say that you want the "blog reader discount!"

We Made It

His legs are shaved and the bandages are HUGE, but we made it. Jason had his surgery today, and so far he has been an excellent patient. It must be wonderful to have such a high pain tolerance. I sure hope this is the end of this saga that started in October. Happy Fourth of July!!

Peach Festival

Here is a glimpse of the Bows by Macy and Me/Crayon Princess Peach Festival booth. It was a little bright and busy, but that didn't last long. It looked pretty empty by the end of the first day.

Our best sellers seemed to be the rhinestone t-shirts and the small personalized beach buckets. It was pretty hard to keep up with the orders; we got really busy. I thought I would share the most popular design. I painted this monkey lap tray just because I thought it might be cute. I painted him over and over this weekend for customers. Turns out he looks really cute on a lime green bucket.
